Swerve Strickland had made a major announcement on last night’s “AEW Rampage.” In a pre-taped promo, he revealed that his wrestling stable, Mogul Affiliates, has merged with another organization (The Embassy), giving him 51% ownership in the new conglomerate. Strickland also confirmed that Trench and Parker Boudreaux are no longer part of Mogul Affiliates due to undisclosed injuries.
Later in the night, after Darby Allin won his match, Strickland offered him a handshake on stage. However, Brian Cage blindsided Allin and attacked him. Prince Nana then appeared and shook hands with Strickland, confirming that Mogul Affiliates has struck a deal with The Embassy, a stable that includes Nana, Cage, Toa Liona, and Kaun.
Strickland is scheduled to have a grudge match against Allin on next Wednesday’s “AEW Dynamite” in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mogul Affiliates was formed in December 2022 on an episode of “AEW Dynamite” with Trench, Boudreaux, and rapper Rick Ross. Meanwhile, The Embassy debuted as Tully Blanchard Enterprises at ROH’s Supercard of Honor XV pay-per-view in April 2022 before Nana reformed the group with Cage, Kaun, Toa Liona, and Jonathan Gresham. Gresham was later removed from the group after he lost the ROH World Championship and requested his release from AEW//ROH. Recently, Cage, Liona, and Kaun defeated Metalik, Blake Christian, and AR Fox at last month’s Supercard of Honor.
