Friday (September 16, 2022), Exclusive Interviews with Key Insiders in Case, Including the Alleged Killer’s Defense Attorney
The September 16 “Dateline NBC” episode airs at 10PM ET/9PM CT. Keith Morrison reports on the murder of star cyclist Anna Moriah Wilson. The two-hour special will feature exclusive interviews with insiders in the case that sparked world-wide headlines, including the defense attorney for Kaitlin Armstrong. Armstrong is currently the only suspect in the murder investigation after U.S. Marshals arrested her in Costa Rica this summer following a weeks-long search. She has pleaded not guilty. During the sit-down interview, attorney Rick Cofer tells Morrison that the case against Armstrong is “predicated on a deeply misogynistic view of her” and that if the case goes to trial, “she will be found not guilty.” Pressed about a key piece of video evidence showing Armstrong’s car at the crime scene during the time of the murder, Cofer responded: “There’s no evidence presented ever of a license plate on this vehicle, of any description of an occupant of the vehicle.”
