Tonight Saturday (August 5 2023) “48 Hours” repeat Episodes
Tonight, the August 5 double edition of “48 Hours” starts at 9PM ET/PT on CBS. 9:00 PM, ET/PT – Did a psychiatrist brainwash a man to kill her ex-lover? Jacob Nolan sits in prison for trying to bludgeon to death Dr. Michael Weiss, and maintains it was his cousin, psychiatrist Dr. Pamela Buchbinder, who convinced him to do it. What really happened? Peter Van Sant and 48 HOURS have the latest in an encore of “The Psychiatrist and the Selfie”. It’s a story of a troubled young man who ended up in the middle of a brutal breakup between two psychiatrists, and who claims he was manipulated by one of them into trying to kill the other. In October 2022, Buchbinder was sentenced to 11 years in prison for her role in the attack on her ex-lover and the father of her child.
10:00 PM, ET/PT – Bart and Krista Halderson had a beautiful home in Windsor, Wis., and two adult sons they adored, so when Bart and Krista suddenly disappeared in July 2021, it stunned their community. 48 HOURS correspondent Erin Moriarty reports on how information found on social media would lead investigators to their killer in an encore of “The Snapchat Clue”. Mystery surrounded the couple’s disappearance, and investigators immediately turned to family members for information, including sons Mitchell, who was 24 and worked in tech, and Chandler, then a 23-year-old college student living at home. Chandler was excited about a new job offer he said he had with Elon Musk’s SpaceX. Chandler told police his parents had gone to the family cabin for the July 4 holiday weekend and never returned. Then, police would finally find a clue in the most unlikely place – the social media app Snapchat.
